The product
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe what you want in English or French and Vega writes the code. If you can code, you can read and edit every file.
Which phones will my app run on?
iPhone and Android. Vega writes one codebase for both, using React Native and Expo, tools that are widely used for mobile apps.
Which language can I write in?
English or French. Your app can be in whichever language you like: just say so in your request.
Where is my app’s data stored?
Apps keep their data on the phone: they work straight away, with no sign-up for the people using them.
Your app and your code
Is my app mine?
Yes. The code is yours: you read it, edit it in the studio and can download all of it.
Can I publish on the App Store and Google Play?
You publish with your own Apple and Google developer accounts, and your app stays yours from end to end.
What if the app crashes while it’s being built?
You won’t see a broken version. Every version is checked before it reaches the preview, and fixes happen without you, at no extra credit cost.
Are my projects private?
Yes. Your projects are only visible to you. The Vega team can look at a project only when needed: a request sent for review (for example after a failure), a report or a support request. Each look has a reason and is recorded in the log.
Credits and subscription
What is a credit?
The unit that measures Vega’s work on a request. A small tweak uses few, a whole new screen uses more.
How much does a request cost?
About 2 to 3.5 credits per request; the preview is free. Creating an app costs a little more than changing a screen.
Do unused credits roll over?
Each plan states its credits and how they renew. The exact terms are shown before any subscription.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Your projects stay accessible and your next request is saved. It is sent as soon as you have credits available.
Are automatic fixes charged?
No. When Vega fixes its own mistake, you don’t pay for it.
What happens to my Free credits if I subscribe?
Your remaining free credits follow you. The details are shown before any plan change.
